#LovePup Foundation has promoted Jessica McClain to executive director, effective immediately. McClain previously served as the Phoenix-based dog rescue’s director of marketing since 2022.
A Stanford graduate with degrees in marketing and communication, McClain came to #LovePup after working in content marketing for startups and renewable energy companies. She’s also a competitive marathoner for Brooks Running, with top-10 finishes at major marathons and recent appearances at international championships.
Founder Blake Van Es said McClain’s understanding of the organization’s “culture and values” makes her “uniquely qualified to lead the strategic vision.” In her new role, she’ll oversee strategy, financial management, donor relations, and serve as the organization’s public face. Since its 2014 founding, #LovePup has rescued and placed more than 1,000 dogs through programs like “A Dog Is Forever” and “It’s Hip to Chip.”
